Lisa Tate
Owner / Director of Operations
Lisa is the Director of Operations for California Coffee Collective and for Rancho Filoso. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly and her Master of Public Administration Degree from Walden University. She serves as the Vice Chair on the Ventura County Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee as well as chair of the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Citrus Advisory Board. She holds Board of Director positions in J. M. Sharp Company, Saticoy Lemon Association, and California Citrus Mutual. She is a Managing Owner of Rancho Filoso, Tate Enterprises and she is an Executive Board member of VC-California Women in Agriculture and a member of the Santa Paula Rotary Club. Her experience growing California Coffee makes her a valuable resource for other coffee growers. She is passionate about farming and family and would love to see more women working in agriculture.
SARAH PRITCHETT
Owner / Director of Creative Development and Quality Control Specialist
Sarah has been in the coffee industry for the past 16 years and is a certified trainer under the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Working as co-owner and head of team development at Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters cafe for the past six years, Sarah specializes in leading teams to curate high quality coffee brewing experiences. She is currently studying to complete her Q-graders license and is highly focused on maintaining quality in each step of the coffee process. Sarah is passionate about working with coffee growers and roasters to discover and fine tune the processing and brewing methods that will best highlight each coffee’s unique profile.
Sarah also works to as Director of Creative Development for the California Coffee Collective. Here she helps to create full sensory coffee experiences for people to see, smell, taste, and touch.
SHAWN PRITCHETT
Owner / Green Processing Specialist and Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships
As owner and lead roaster at Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters for the past 11 years, Shawn has mastered the art of roasting coffee in a way that brings out the nuance of unique coffee varietals and terroirs; balancing roast levels to create a beautiful tasting experiences for coffee drinkers.
After years working with coffee growers from the roasting side, Shawn is now expanding his skillset by mastering the art of green coffee processing. Through extensive experimentation with new processing methods, he is working with growers to create cup profiles beginning at the seed level and developing them into roasted coffee. These methods have led to high scoring coffees and are opening up exciting new opportunities in the coffee industry. Shawn is passionate about identifying and building relationships with California Coffee Collective's strategic partners in attempt to curate the best coffee in the world.
